iXBRL reporting
Answers to the questions about ESEF, or iXBRL.
What is XBRL Taxonomy?
A dictionary in which all IFRS or ESRS data points are presented as a structured tree, according to which financial or sustainability reports should be presented.
How is ESEF different from iXBRL?
The ESEF stands for the European Single Electronic Format, the EU regulatory name for the technical data formats XHTML and Inline XBRL.
Why is the ESRS XBRL taxonomy important already in the early process of creating sustainability report?
The ESRS taxonomy represents the detailed sections of the ESRS standards by creating a structured tree of data points. Therefore, in order for the sustainability report to be understandable and informative for the users, and easily converted into a digital format, it is necessary early in the process to integrate the presentation logic of the structure proposed by the ESRS XBRL taxonomy.
How to create an ESEF, or iXBRL, report?
To convert PDF, Indesign, Word or Excel report formats to ESEF, i.e. perform iXBRL tagging, a specialized tool certified by XBRL International is required.
Where I can purchase iXBRL tagging tool or receive a report tagging service?
